It's nice to another set of set drill/ driver for the house as I have one for work, and having gone through Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Makita and I have to say it's right up there with my preferred Makita (Milwaukee cordless was the biggest disappointment). They seemed to incorporated as many of the desirable features without overloading them (yes, too many features can be problematic as is too few). The batteries that come with this set don't have charging gauges but batteries are where the money is at and I can appreciate why they come with 'entry level' 1.5AH. Should be sufficient for the occasional around the house projects but I have checked out some aftermarket compatible batteries and for ~$50 can get a 4AH battery (bigger, but heavier, but longer run time). Battery release is easy to use, too, which I really like after discovering what a PITA the Milwaukee batteries are.Very happy with this tool's just as good as my makita would recommendI love this driver. I honestly can't imagine having a better one.The drill is decent. No complaints on it really. Just a drill. It works as it should. Both have great battery life. I have the 1.5mah batteries and they do fine. I don't use it in a full time type of environment. I mainly do woodworking on evenings and weekends outside my full time job. I can use them moderately for a week or more without charging.I just can't get over the driver. It has plenty of power, super compact and the perfect weight. It is definitely my favorite drill/driver that I have ever owned.PerfectThey are basically 12v sub compact tools upgraded to a 18v power source. Seems to provide more power and a slightly faster spin. We will see after I use the impact driver for 7 to 12 hours in one day. The drill driver seems to be a 1/2 version of the 3.8 driver with the 18v battery. Good point is these are multi volt compatible and there are many different 18volt batteries that will work to power the tools. I have the heavier impact and drill that use the same batteries so thats a plus. These replaced my older 12v Hitachi drill and was pleased that it was less weight but more power. The Driver was immediately useful for plowing new screws into an older gate. I rarely have to charge the battery and use for short bursts a few times a week.Household DIY projects.Had to return. One of the drills did not work.
