Zojirushi 0.36-Liter Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Travel Mug - Black - Keeps Drinks Hot/Cold for Hours - Perfect for Office, Commuting & Outdoor Activities

I'll make (or buy) my hot drink around 7AM and it's kept in my bag all day. It stays HOT (not warm or slightly hot, but mouth-burning hot) until around 4PM when I have a pick-me-up break. The steam was still coming out of it. Even though the contents were piping hot, the thermos itself was just warm to the touch. 0.36L is about 12 fl oz, so it can hold a small (or "tall" size, if you're into Starbucks) drink easily.The outer cap (the part with the silver band in the picture) is not to be used as a cup. Also, that outer cap has a top lid that can be popped/lifted off to reveal a small space. But, even with the top lid popped off, you still can't drink from it. The included instructions and diagrams are in Japanese, but I use that small space to put a tea bag. To drink, you have to unscrew that outer cap. Once unscrewed, there is a hard, black plastic piece around the thermos opening and it is this plastic part that is in contact with your mouth, not metal.I throw it into a messenger bag or backpack with no leakage issues. Takes a little more time to clean compared to other thermos-type products because you can take apart all the rubber and plastic things. But, at least I know there's nothing secretly growing inside and stinking/mucking things up.I bought the black version and it has a nice matte finish. When I open it, people are surprised it's a drink container as it doesn't have a typical thermos look. Some thought it was a writing utensil case.I know that it is a japanese brand which is professional on this kind of keeping-warm product. I have so many kind of products from this brand in my home like cooker and water boiler. They work so perfect. Therefore, I trust this one as well. This product can keep hot liquid for over than five hours, in the condition of you keep open it during this five hours. If you dont open it for drink, you can definitely keep it for about eight hours that long.It is so amazing!!! When I put some hot tea into it at night, I can feel the warmth in the next day morning. It is so perfect for the people who need some hot drink after sleep in winter without waiting for boiling water. Moreover, the design is cool and very insulated. It is a very good design for washing, since the cap can be separate into a few components.However, there is one disadvantage which makes me minus a star in overall. That is, if you put the liquid a bit over its bottle level, the water will very easily to spill out. So, if you really need to store much liquid into the bottle, buy a bigger size please. It is not too heavy to carry.Overall, it is amazingly great to keep WARM!I used this mug for over 4 years now, and I do have to stay it keeps my hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. One time I made a smoothie with fruits and ice around 7am, and by 3pm, the smoothie was still very thick and has not melted at all.Only complaint is that the opening of the mug is too small, making it hard to clean thoroughly.So I bought this because I got tired of leaving my desk for 5 minutes & coming back to a tepid cup of coffee. And I must say that this thing is VERY WELL insulated. I can put hot coffee in it, put on the lid and it will still be piping hot an hour+ later.However, the lid is where it loses points. I was hoping for more of a mug than a thermos experience with this, but you actually have to unscrew and remove the entire lid to drink from it. Then if you forget to put it back on, it of course loses heat quickly.So great concept, and probably perfect if you have a need to transport a small cup of coffee, but I wouldn't recommend it as a desk mug.This is a great little to go cup. Fits almost a mug, which is all I need to start with, since I drink my start of the day Americano. It stays hot for entire day in classes I noticed. It's skinny and compact so I can fit it in my backpack, and then I refill it out of my thermos as needed. It's great for students in the medical field. It's like a mini thermos but take the top off and I drink right out of it. People in my class wanted to know where I bought it, they loved it!! The color also keeps my husband from taken it so far...ugh.It's great as a portable cup to avoid using any disposable cups. Construction quality is top notch and Zojirushi standard. However the lid is a complicated assembly of several mixed plastic, rubber, and metal components which means I would not trust it to transport liquid from one place to another as the top part of the lid could pop off. I see absolutely no reason why it could not be a simple one-piece lid, unscrew to drink.This little container does what it claims -- keeps stuff hot in a convenient size! The price was a bit high, but it seems to be good quality which will last a long time.When closed completely it does not leak at all, even when I shake it.My only problem, if you could call it that, is that it keeps things TOO hot. Sometimes I have to let it breathe a bit so that I can actually drink the contents. I love it, it even fits most of the way in the pocket of my winter coat so I don't even have to put it in my bag.I love this mug! It doesn't spill and the fluid stays warm a long time! I find that the small 0.36L is perfect for me. It sounds/looks small but actually holds about 12oz which is a good size for warm drinks. It's a little tricky to wash all the parts but I find that they don't get smelly if I forget and are easy to clean. I usually soak them with a little soap and water and then rinse.I use it for coffee when I take coffee for work. Stays hot - almost TOO HOT throughout the day! I don't like coffee too hot so I take the lid off for a bit and it cools off just fine. But I make coffee in the morning, and sometimes I don't have a chance to drink it for about 3 hours, it's still crazy hot!It's small but you know the size when you get it. It's great though, I'd definitely recommend it!Study construction, looks high quality.My only issue is that it insulates too damn well. If i make hot coffee in the morning, I open it up by lunch time, its still blazing hot. So I actually have to uncap and let liquids cool down.Easy to take apart and wash.Have this product for about 7 months now, worth every pennyThis came in the mail for me a couple weeks ago, and I've been using it ever since.I put hot tea in this thing at 7:30AM ish each morning, and it's still steaming hot by noon! Works like a miracle, and Timmy's accepts it as a small refill too :)Wish I had gotten one earlier, and a bigger one... This thing is amazing!I did a lot of research trying to find something that was small and portable to keep my tea in. This has blown my expectations by far. It really keeps the inner liquid hot for hours, many hours, and the outside stays nice and cool. I would buy this again, if I ever need another one.I've been using this almost every day for years and it keeps on going. My coffee stays warm long enough for me to drink throughout my work day. I like that it's a screw top so that it's completely water-tight, even if it tumbles or ends upside down.
