I've been making various products with Epoxy and Silicone since the 1970's. With either product there is always a problem with bubbles. I also use a torch and even alcohol. I've used these 2 items for many years. However, depending on the THICKNESS of the Epoxy.. some bubbles seem to always get trapped. Thin Epoxy is easy to have bubbles removed via a torch as they quickly float to the top. However, thick, slow setting Epoxy is a different story. Bubbles tend to get trapped and they end up in the final product. Silicone acts similar. However, using this Vacuum Chamber was/is very helpuful. As you can see by the photo's, the vacuum is very low and the bubbles all come to the top. When I let normal air back into the chamber.. the bubbles disappear. I then pour the epoxy down a tongue depressor or similar piece of plastic which keeps the bubbles out. Especially on DEEP pours with thick Epoxy. If you want to have better resin pours without the bubbles.. buy this item. I highly recommend it.
